Kiefer Sutherland’s Rockumentary Airs Nov. 11 on VH1

by on October 28th, 2006

Kiefer Sutherland in I trust you to kill meI’m so glad we got cable a few weeks back because now I’ll be able to watch Kiefer Sutherland acting crazy in his Rockumentary I Trust You to Kill Me.  It airs Nov. 11th on VH1:

Apparently, the Kiefer Sutherland we see on the hit show "24" is not the real thing. Did you really think the actor was a gun toting die-hard type who can foil terrorist plots?

The Emmy winner is actually a huge fan of rock music, particularly a band named "Rocco DeLuca & the Burden." On Nov. 11, a film about his role as pseudo-manager of the indie act will debut on VH1.

The rockumentary, titled "I Trust You To Kill Me," is directed by Manu Boyer and follows the star and the group as they embark on their first international tour. The crew performs in L.A., London, Dublin, Reykjavik and Berlin under Sutherland’s disorganized road management. It documents gig after gig as the band’s struggles to define themselves in the music industry.

"The tour in Europe, and the film that has resulted, ‘I Trust You To Kill Me,’ was an amazingly personal experience," Sutherland said in a statement. "I am thrilled that VH1 has responded to the film so positively. I feel it is the perfect home for this documentary and their audience will relate to the journey this film depicts."

"I Trust You To Kill Me" debuted in select New York theaters last month and is named for the band’s debut album, which was released earlier this year. The album was launched under Sutherland’s record label, Ironworks, which he established with producer Jude Cole in 2004. Via Showbuzz
