RIP Curtis Manning
I totally saw Curtis’s death coming in episode 4 of Season 6 of 24. Once they showed the bit about him hating the terrorist I knew he was going to do something stupid just like so many other characters have done in the past.
Are you going to miss sexy Roger R. Cross? I know I am! He was one of the best looking guys on the show! Here are some pictures of poor Curtis from the 3 seasons he’s been on. Be warned at the end are some bloody pictures from when Jack Boauer shoots him:

[...] If you are a fan of the Fox TV hit “24,” you know that after all Curtis Manning has done for Jack Bauer, Jack killed him to save an ex-terrorist (Assad) on the mend. It turns out that Curtis had “beef” with Assad who was now trying to help Jack and the U.S. government catch another terrorist who has nuclear capabilities and is using them on U.S. soil. Curtis was bitter about this alliance - the U.S. government negotiating with terrorists (no matter that he’s an ex or not)? It turns out that this Assad was once Curtis’ bitter enemy - Assad killed two of Curtis’ military buddies when they were fighting in some war. So Curtis pulled a gun on him and pointed it in his head at super-close range. Jack shouts at Curtis to “drop your weapon!” (one of his favorite lines in the show), but Curtis is raging and won’t draw back his gun and won’t let Assad go. Jack shoots Curtis and kills him, thinking he’s doing what’s right for the sake of the U.S. and ensure they protect Assad to pump him for information he has about this ”nuclear” terrorist. [...]

Who said he is dead? Still an assumption at this point. Probably a good one given Jack’s reaction and the apparent location of the gunshot wound. However, we all know that 24 has twists. You just never know until they definitely tell you that Curtis is dead.

who cares if Curtis is dead. We have had to endure Tony’s death so Curtis is forgetable by comparison

I surmise that Curtis is NOT dead! It is ASSUMED, but as someone personally familiar with the tactics used by these agencies, I think he was merely shot in the collarbone and is now in a hospital. I believe Curtis and Jack staged that scene for the benefit of Assad, because neither of them trust Assad’s motives. Curtis won’t be active in this year’s show, but by the end of the season, we’ll probably see a scene with him in a hospital bed having a convo with Jack…remember where you heard it first, lol!

Curtis IS dead. The cast gave him a going away party and everything. The official 24 site lists him as deceased.

It was an explosively dramatic scene –the kind of worse case scenario that I’ve come to expect from 24. However, I don’t buy that someone like Curtis would loose it that way. He would have HAD to know that Jack would shoot him. (After all he’s Jack) They all do what they have to do in order to achieve the mission. Just hours earlier, Curtis had his weapon drawn in case Jack did not cooperate with his turnover to Fayed. If Curtis had to go out, I wish it were under different circumstances.
Oh. And yes. Curtis is dead. Accept it.

I don’t care what anybody says…I just hate the fact that Curtis is dead. 24 always makes the best characters die.

Yeah guys, really. He’s dead, Jack even confirmed it once again is this weeks episode. He told Dolye himself, that he did kill Curtis, and he wouldn’t hesitate killing him.
But what does suck is that, the best guys go out doing stupid things. And the funnny things is, everything that happened to them happened to Jack. But they would make the Main Character do the right thing.

I cant believe curtis is really dead. and that jack shot him. they worked together for years and were really good friends. and he shot him to save an ex terrorists life!! Im really sad. He was one of the best characters on he show..i mean okay tony, michelle, president palmer, and curtis all die in a season and a half. this show is already goin down hill! I Dont think it is as good without those characters. they were all my favourites. especially tony and curtis!!:) And curtis should of died in a way more dramatic scene..hah. he was to big of a character to just get shot by one of his friends. He deserves better!!! Seriously after so many people died last season curtis was like one of the last characters i loved! Next thing you know cloey will die:O..probbly not but seriously of any other main character that i love dies i will stop watching the show!! But yah anyways….I THINK ITS STUPID THAT CURTIS DIED!!! (Sorry for the mispelled words i was typing really fast)
