24 Season 6 Episode 6 thoughts
Well, this week on 24 not a whole lot happened. Actually, it was a pretty boring and predictable episode. We found out that Jack’s brother is really evil after all… but we knew that already from last season. We got introduced to Jack’s father, played by James Cromwell, at the end of the episode who seems like he is a good guy for the most part and was just trying to protect his son, clearly the real villain here.
The president’s sister Sandra, played by Regina King, was annoying me once again. She doesn’t seem to understand that her boyfriend Walid, played by Harry Lennox, getting information about possible nuclear bombs is more important than pulling him out of the detention facility as soon as possible. But oops, it sounds as if they didn’t know anything about the bombs after all. But let’s be honest, from their comments this episode and last, it doesn’t seem like they’re angry with the government for putting them there in the first place… they’re really sympathetic to the terrorists in the first place. C’mon, remember that comment last episode that the US needs to pay and that they’ll get what they deserve? I have a hard time believing that an illegal detention for a few hours (so far) in a day is an excusable justification for wanting to nuke innocent people. We don’t need to be PC about this. Regardless, very unfortunate to see him get the crap kicked out of him by the "poor peaceful innocent civilians." Hmm, really makes you think, doesn’t it?
The controversy at CTU with Nadia played by Marisol Nichols is unfortunate, but after a few segments I started getting a little tired of the whining. I’m sorry you got profiled, but maybe recognize that you’re in the midst of a national crisis and a nuke did just go off in Los Angeles. CTU tends to hire moles anyway… I see a few possible plot developments for this character. Given that she’s a good looking female, past seasons dictate one of two outcomes: either she will be a subversive double agent or she’ll be killed off in an unfortunate accident/attack on CTU/Jack going too far torturing her. I doubt she’ll make it past the next two episodes.
Now what about our little troublemaker in the White House, Thomas Lennox, played by Peter MacNicol, and his sidekick played by Chad Lowe? This is already shaping up to be a lot like last season when Walt Cummings was behind some aspects of the terrorist plot. I think this season we’re going to see something like this role for Tom Lennox, being part of some vast conspiracy but not having a clue as to its extent. Still, a weasely little jerk, don’t trust him!
Gotta love the sexual tension between Jack and Graham’s wife when they left the house. I’m sure we’ll see more of this relationship later on. Oh, and what ever happened to Assad played by Alexander Siddig? Did he just go back to his home country or will we see him again? One more note… McCarthy is a pretty weak character but his girlfriend is hot and looks a little like Kim Bauer. Speaking of Kim, how come daddy hasn’t called to check on his little girl after a nuclear bomb goes off? Remember how pissed she was last season when she thought he was dead? Now he’s back from being tortured by the Chinese… one would think he would want to talk to her. Oh well. I guess he also didn’t bother to get in touch with Audrey. The man has woman troubles.

OMG! The show is awesome…I am surprised at what you posted up here leora. Jack has a lot of things that most of us won’t even begin to understand, I am sure he will contact Kim soon. As for Audrey, I am kinda glad he has not called her. Can’t wait to see Jack deal with his weasil of a brother! I felt bad for Karen, she should have opened up to the President. I knew Lennox was evil. And Chad Lowe looks interesting on the show too. Would have been cool if Kiefer’s real father played his screen father.
Hang in there leora, things will get more exciting for ya soon, I can feel it.

It was a bit slow. More drama than action. I am so annoyed by Tom and his petty arguing. And of all the drama and fighting at CTU. At least this season its kinda calmed down and people have been able to settle the arguments kinda fast. I think Karen left peacefully hoping Tom would be exposed as the jerk he is when all hell breaks loose and she can try to contain the issues at CTU LA since she can’t do it working with Tom.
Remember when Jack came back he said not to tell Kim or Audrey, since he was going to die. But now that he’s alive and well (well, kinda, once he gets out of his terrorist brother’s custody) maybe he’ll call them and let them know he’s here and alive. Of course that will just open another big can of worms, not that I don’t want that. Next weeks looks pretty good. Jack and his dad are going to get to kill the goons holding them and then go after Graem.

Can anyone clue me in on who the blonde girl is in the car with McCarthy? (I think that is his name) The girl he almost put out of the car last night … the guy waiting for the 7 milliion when he finds someone to set the other four bombs. She is very familar but I can’t place what I’ve seen her play on before or find her real life name on any 24 web page. It’s driving me nuts! Thanks if anyone can put a name or a previous credit to her face!

24 is deffintly getting very intresting but I have to disagree I dont think we wil be seeing kim in this season at all or thats what I heard from rumors before season 6 began also I was very suprized that jacks father killed his own son I wonder how deeply he is involved in all this I used to think that it was just some dealings but it could be more seriosu then that

Hi Dave, I also heard that too from insiders. Kim is not scheduled for season 6. But we never know, could be used over phone convos with her father, we have to wait and see.

4 more till 24 again yay well I think that in next episode jack will find out that his father is evil if you saw the previews to next weeks episode i dont know the exact words but it went something like I will do whatever it takes to stop him I assume he is talkng about his father or it could be fayed well just my opinion I think it would an intresting challange jack vs his father there both really good after all philip bauer taught his son everything he knows this can be intresting ha ha

Hey sorry guys for not posting in a while I just came back from a week vacation its good to get off from work but tons more to catch up on well I saw last sundays episode yesterday I was suprized that philip bauer didnt kill his other son and it seems like ex presidet logan is back ha ha could get intresting also do you guys think that chloes husband should be taken out of CTU I personally thing he should I understand he is upset that it might be his fault for thusands of lives but I believe he has to do what he can to prevent the others
