Mary Lynn Rajskub To Star in Comedy

Will you go see Mary Lynn Rajskub of 24 in this new movie she’s signed on to star in?  I think I will but I can’t imagine Emily Blunt having a lesbian crush on Chloe O’Brian…

24’s Mary Lynn Rajskub joins the cast of the movie Sunshine Cleaning, which also includes actresses Amy Adams and Emily Blunt. And like Kiefer Sutherland, this is Rajskub’s way of productively spending the show’s hiatus.

Sutherland, who plays the lead character Jack Bauer on the award-winning show 24, will be spending 24’s hiatus by taking part in the thriller movie Mirrors, which will begin shooting on May 1. Directed by Alexandre Aja, the movie showcases Sutherland as an ex-cop working as a mall security guard who discovers something eerie in the mirrors of a department store and attempts to explore the wicked source of it. Set in Romania, the upcoming movie will be distributed through 20th Century Fox.

As for Rajskub, she takes a break from her computer expert role and takes in another comical character. In the series 24, she portrays a CTU tech analyst in the form of Chloe O’Brian. She has been notably playing this role since the start of 24’s third season in 2003. Being a computer whiz who have shown much proficiency with automatic weapons, she has appeared in 89 episodes, being the third cast member to have the most number of episodes.

Rajskub, a 35-year old actress and comedian, came from Trenton, Michigan. She appeared on shows like Mr. Show, The Larry Sanders Show, Shasta McNasty and Veronica’s Closet. Her other film credits included Legally Blonde 2, Sweet Home Alabama, Man on the Moon, Punch-Drunk Love, The Anniversary Party, Firewall. Little Miss Sunshine, Mysterious Skin and Dude, Where’s My Car?

Sunshine Cleaning features a woman who wants to send her eight year-old son to a private school and decides to go into business wither her unreliable sister in order to acquire more money. Eventually, they form a company dealing with biohazard removal and crime scene clean up. Directed by Christine Jeffs, Rajskub is showcased as a blood bank technician who becomes the object of Blunt’s sexual obsession.
