More Info About The Simpsons 24 Special
Here’s some more information about the Simpson Spoofing 24 for their 400th episode on May 20th:
Before their big screen debut, "The Simpsons” will make their biggest milestone yet on Fox when they air the 400th episode. The episode will pay homage to another Fox television network success, the adrenaline-junkie fan favorite "24,” in true "Simpsons” form, through brilliant parody.
Kiefer Sutherland, who did a voice in the first half of this season, will return to voice his character, the unstoppable Jack Bauer, in the milestone finale episode, and he will be joined by his "24 co-star Mary Lynn Rajskub who plays Jack’s worthy and tech-savvy ally at CTU, Chloe O’Brian. Sutherland recently appeared on Jay Leno and spoke about his return to the show. "I really should retire,” said Sutherland, explaining that once you’ve done something as great as "The Simpsons” and had the honor of appearing on the pop culture phenomenon that’s lasted two generations, there’s nowhere to go from there.
Sutherland was joking in praise to the show, of course, but he made it clear how much he respected the show, and now the show will pay its respects as only "The Simpsons” knows how to Sutherland’s impact on television culture with the episode called "24 Minutes” which as clips have shown, will make good use of the unique "24” style with split screens and the multi-view windows, and it, according to BlogCritics, will include the ticking clock as well. "The Simpsons” 400th episode airs Sunday, May 20 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
