Mary Lynn Rajskub on Season 7’s Return
While doing press for Sunshine Cleaning at Sundance, Cinema Blend asked Mary Lynn Rajskub if she had any idea when season seven of 24 would actually air. Rajskub seemed as out of the loop as the rest us with her response, “I don’t think they have any plans. I’ve heard all sorts of things; it’s dependent on the strike. If it ends soon, we’ll try to get back in there and finish them. Get on the air for sure. It’s definitely my hope that we’ll be able to go on time for next year. Maybe we’ll start earlier than January, or something. Then we can have our whole season seven. I guess we could air in the summer, do you think they’ll do that?”
So how about that, not even Mary Lynn Rajskub has an idea what’s happening with the seventh season of 24. All we can do as fans now is hope for a resolution to the writers’ strike. It’s obvious that our only chance at seeing any episode of 24 in 2008 is if the strike ends, and soon. With the recent DGA agreement and a return to talks between the WGA and the AMPTP, that may not be too far off. Hopefully.
