Jayne Atkinson Hits the Stage

Jayne Atkinson has joined the Berkshire Theatre Festival’s production of George Bernard Shaw’s classic, Candida. Atkinson, who played Karen Hayes during 24’s fifth and sixth seasons, is playing the title role of Candida. The comedy, first published in 1894, is about the “domestic turmoil that ensues when a dashing and sensitive young poet comes between a socially progressive minister and his charismatic wife.”
Candida will run June 17th to July 5th as part of the aforementioned Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge, MA. Tickets range from $46 to $68 and can be purchased on the Berkshire website.
Atkinson’s participation in 24’s seventh season has not been announced, but imdb claims she is appearing in both the prequel to air in fall 2008, and the premiere episode in January 2009.
