24 is the 8th Best Show Ever
Really, it made the top 10. At least according to the New York Post’s list of the Greatest TV Shows in history. Why’d they rank 24 near the top? Well, because it “shamed other cop dramas with its movie-size action, its breakneck plotting, but most of all its immediacy. After 24, you can’t pretend your characters don’t live in the real world. Now, the clock is always ticking.”
So now I throw this out to you, my totally biased audience, do you think 24 belongs near the top of the best shows in TV history? I’m not entirely sure, decade yes, but of all time?

I think the only influential shows from this decade include 24, LOST, and Survivor (yes, Survivor created the reality tv craze).
In time (pun intended), 24 will be among the best of all time.

Certainly in the top ten….even top 5 of this
decade. Is “24″ innovative…and ground-
breaking to make the “all time” list?

8 is too low it should be in the top 5 because the first season alone re-defined television suspense and thriller. It also introduced the real-time format to television

My personal opinion is that 24 should be number 1, but I am still glad to see it in the top 10. Not only did the show blow me away the first time I watched it, but it gave me the first real sense of urgency in a tv show and i loved the real time format. Also it was the first show that showed, through Teri Bauer’s death, that every character is fair game. I love that idea because it makes it that much more exciting for the viewers, not knowing who is going to die and who isn’t. 24 is definitely the best tv show of all time!!!!
