Carlo Rota May Return to 24

June 14, 2008 by Diana

While promoting his latest project, a Canadian remake of Othello to air on CBC Sunday, Carlo Rota told the Toronto Star that the writers’ strike caused him to drop out of 24. Rota, who also stars on CBC’s hit comedy Little Mosque on the Prairie, was forced to choose between both shows, and he chose Little Mosque over 24 because the strike went on so long.

That doesn’t mean that he won’t return to 24 for the upcoming season. Apparently producers want him back (someone’s gotta watch the baby which Chloe saves the world), but scheduling conflicts are causing both parties to “be a bit nebulous about it” according to Rota.
