Cherry Jones has graciously donated a lunch with her to benefit Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Fund.
The auction is running live now through December 15th (view the latest bid).
The True Colors Fund, the non-profit arm of the True Colors Tour and co-founded by Cyndi Lauper, seeks to inspire and engage everyone, particularly the straight community, to become active participants in the advancement of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality and ensure a strong and vibrant LGBT community.

Congratulations to Cherry Jones who won an Emmy Award for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for 24! She beat out Rose Byrne (“Damages”) and Dianne Wiest (“In Treatment”) for the achievement.
“Thank you all. Wowzer,” Jones said as she took the stage. “I would like to doff my imaginary cap to my beautiful, brilliant co-nominees. … Thank you so much.”

She may not have made her first appearance on 24, but Cherry Jones continues to rack up the critical acclaim. Entertainment Weekly recently released their ‘50 Actors We’d Watch in Anything’ list, and Cherry Jones was right up there. Little is currently known about what type of President Cherry Jones’ Allison Taylor will be in the 7th season of 24, but Jones recently told More magazine that if Taylor were her President she’d be “someone I’d feel immensely comfortable with.” I’m taking that to mean that Taylor will most likely be a Democrat, considering Jones’ politics tend to lean that way.
