He replaces Taylor’s current C.O.S., Ethan Kanin, who snatched his job back in last Monday’s finale after the prez’s psycho daughter, Olivia, was taken into federal custody.

Season 7 Gets Another Villain
Well, he may just be a henchman. Rory Cochran will join 24 playing an associate of Jonas Hodges. Hodges, played by Jon Voight, was previously announced to be season seven’s big bad, a character Voight described as “a witty fellow, sarcastic perhaps. He’s intimidating because he plays it light, but he’s got a sharp barb – his tongue can hurt you. He’s got a sense of humor, but boy, he’s dangerous.” No doubt if Rory Cochran’s character is running with Hodges, he’s bad news.
Cochran is best known to television audiences as Tim Speedle on CBS’ CSI Miami. His movie roles …read more

Julia Roberts to Guest Star on 24?

Star Magazine is reporting that Julia Roberts may be guest starring on the upcoming season of 24. Such a high profile guest appearance would be a big get for 24, and Roberts’ first television guest starring role since her appearance on on Law and Order in 1999.
But it would be tabloid fodder as well, since Roberts famously left Kiefer Sutherland at the alter for his best friend, Jason Patric in the early 90’s.
Considering Star is the only press reporting this, I think I’ll wait …read more

Season seven officially has its big bad. Up to this point the best candidates for the position were either Tony Almeida (the season 7 trailer made him look evil), and some African dictator responsible for genocide who was trying to make President Taylor his pawn. But of course on 24 nothing is as it seems. Jon Voight has been cast as the man responsible for season seven’s terrorist activities, the real bad guy. We don’t know much about his character, but he will …read more

Image details: The Smokey Robinson Foundation’s Join Us and "Give Back" – Arrivals served by picapp.com
Sprague Graydon (Jericho) has been cast as President Allison Taylor’s daughter in the seventh season of 24. Little is known about the first daughter, in fact, I didn’t even know there was going to be a first daughter in season seven. One can only assume that Graydon’s character will somehow be involved in the dissipearance of her brother, one of the few arc’s we actually know about.
But don’t expect Graydon to stay around too long. She’s also been cast in FX’s upcoming …read more
Robert Carlyle Joins 24 Prequel

Yesterday we got news that the 24 prequel would air on November 23rd, and now Michael Ausiello’s got exclusive prequel casting scoop that Robert Carlyle will co-star. He’ll be playing Benton, a man described as Jack’s mentor in Africa.
Carlyle is best known for playing Gaz in the 1997 hit The Full Monty. He also has a knack for playing rather crazy characters, so I wouldn’t be shocked if Jack’s mentor ends up as his enemy. Seems like a 24 thing to do.

24 Casting Update: Marlene Forte To Recur
November 6, 2007 by Diana
Marlene Forte is the latest cast addition to 24’s 7th season. Forte is cast as Rosa Gonzales, a character whose identity is still shrouded in secrecy. The only details released about Rosa Gonzales is that she is “a woman who is concerned about Ike Dubaku (played by Hakeem Kae-Kazim) and warns her sister about it.” Considering we know nothing about Ike Dubaku or the mysterious sister in question, we’re just gonna have to wait and see exactly who Rosa Gonzales is.
Forte is a Cuban American actress recently seen in guest starring roles in The Unit, Lost and CSI. Forte …read more
Carly Pope to Recur on 24
Carly Pope, best known for her lead role in WB’s Popular, is the latest in a series of cast additions for 24’s 7th season. The Hollywood Reporter had this to say about her character:
She will play Samantha Roth, the girlfriend of the president’s (Cherry Jones) son who might be connected to his disappearance.
So it looks like we can add missing first son to the list of spoilers for the new season. Is anyone else starting to lose track of all the cast additions? Talk about
starting from scratch after a bad year.
