Where is Jack Bauer Headed?
May 13, 2009 by Julie Bonner
Kiefer Sutherland recently talked to Entertainment Weekly about his character Jack Bauer and where he’s headed. If you don’t like spoilers, DO NOT READ!
EW caught up with Kiefer at the Season 7 finale screening and asked him about some of the biggest twists of the season and of course, what the future holds.
Oh, and (SPOILER ALERT) fans, you can breathe easy: Executive Producer Howard Gordon told EW that Jack will live to see the sunrise at least once more.
EW asked, “What’s it like to have Jack on the verge of death right now?”
Here’s what Kiefer had to say:
It has to go in stages and you just try to monitor in your head where physically you are with the character. From a dramatic perspective, it’s a great dynamic to be able to play that, certainly in the context of the relationship between Jack and his daughter. I have a 21 year old daughter and a 31 year old daughter, and I found that to be moving personally as a man. All of those things I was very excited to do.

Sprague Grayden’s Carson Daily Interview
April 30, 2009 by Julie Bonner
Carson Daily says he’s been a fan of FOX’s 24 since it’s beginning in 2001. He caught up with one of the stars of the show, Sprague Grayden, who plays Olivia Taylor.
When asked what it was like starring on the show she said “it’s amazing”. Carson also mentioned that she’s been on a lot of different TV shows and wanted to know how 24 is different.
Grayden replied with, “This is the first time that I’ve really gotten to be a part of the action. You know…I’ve always been on really character driven shows…which are amazing…but I don’t get to run around and get shot at by people.”

Elisha Cuthbert on The Late Show
April 18, 2009 by Julie Bonner
Elisha Cuthbert visited “The Late Show with David Letterman” on April 16th. David Letterman commented about how she looked radiant. She did look good!
;p>
David asked her, “Are you happy about being back on the show and stuff? was everybody excited to see you back?”
Elisha said, “I mean yeah, to them I haven’t grown up though. You know it’s sort of like I started the show at 18 years old and now I’m 26 and I consider myself a woman now. I like to think so anyway. And I walk on the set ‘Hey pewee, hey squirt, hey little one…what’s going’ on munchkin.’ I can’t invite friends because the would be like ‘God, what’s wrong with everybody? They’re calling you weird names’.”
Daphne Brogdon Goes “Inside 24″
April 2, 2009 by Julie Bonner
Daphne Brogdon sat down with Kiefer Sutherland to go “Inside 24″. She opens up the interview talking about the White House siege and asks, “Do you think it’s a good idea for Jack to be protecting the President again?”
What’s his response to the question?
“Well, yeah. We generally have two or three storlines going and at some point those stories will converge. And I think that one of them….the most interesting aspects of our show from the very beginning with David Palmer as President, the first African American President…all the way till now in our show and the context of our show, the first female President, played by Sherry Jones. Those have been very exciting story lines.”
Kiefer Sutherland on Extra
March 30, 2009 by Julie Bonner
Kiefer Sutherland was interviewed on the weekend edition of Extra. They showed a clip of tonight’s episode where Jack Bauer has been exposed to deadly chemicals and wants revenge.
The “24″ star has been extremely busy promoting his movie “Monsters vs Aliens”. He was asked if as a kid if he was scared of monsters. Jack Bauer scared of monsters!?
He said, “The one film I remember was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the child catcher scared the life out of me…And that terrible little face…I don’t think I slept well that night.”
I would have to agree! That was pretty creepy.
At the end of the interview, Kiefer answered some questions from fans.
Kiefer Sutherland on Access Hollywood
March 27, 2009 by Julie Bonner
Are you getting tired of seeing Kiefer Sutherland everywhere? I didn’t think so! The “24″ star sat down with Access Hollywood to talk about “Monsters vs Aliens”, which comes out tonight in theaters.
Kiefer taked about his character General W.R. Monger and what it was like to do an animated film. He also said that during the press tour in Europe, he was able to snatch a few of the Monsters vs Aliens toys. It’s funny to hear him talk about it!
And of course, they chatted about “24″. The host asked him to tell her what was happening on “24″.
Kiefer said, “We start back up in May. And we’re starting early this year because of the strike and Fox’s programming issues. 24 started late but we had extra time and we realized how valuable that was. So, normally we wouldn’t start until August, but we’re starting in May.”
She then asked if they’ve been off since Janaury and he said that they’re not actually ever off. Wow, what a grueling schedule!
Kiefer Sutherland on “Regis and Kelly”
March 25, 2009 by Julie Bonner
Kiefer Sutherland is still very busy promoting his animated film “Monsters vs. Aliens”. He plays General W.R. Monger and from all of the clips I have seen, his voice is perfect for this role.
Yesterday, March 24th, Kiefer made an appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly. He looked mighty handsome in his black sweater, white shirt and jeans. The crowd went nuts when he came out of course!
Regis asked Kiefer about how long they spent shooting “24″. Kiefer said, “We worked about 10 1/2 months on that. Five days a week…and anywhere between 12 to 14 hours a day. And on the 2 days off, we generally use to get ready for the next week.”
WOW! What a crazy schedule.
They continue to talk about “24″ for a few minutes and then move on to “Monsters vs. Aliens”.
Michael Rodrick Chats 24!
March 23, 2009 by Nikki Katz
Michael Rodrick recently chatted with TVGuide.com about the bloody mess that is to come on 24!
On His Character: Basically Jon Voight is just going to start to unleash a lot of bedlam and I’m one of the henchmen there to get things rolling. It’s going to be a lot of psychological warfare. Then it’s gonna escalate and be a lot of physical warfare — aka torture — to get what we want.
On Hodges’ Motivation: In terms of the overall arc, I’m not privy to that. But I think these private mercenaries for the most part are motivated by the fact that their country has let them down in some way. I think that’s what [Hodges] is all about and what I am all about. We’re a private army and we feel like how Tony Almeida feels, except Tony’s still doing the right thing and we’re not.
On Loyalty to Hodges: Oh, I always have my own agenda. That’s all I’m gonna say. You’ll get to know Stokes very well. Be prepared for me to psychologically tear a lot of people apart and kidnap them. Watch me kick Bauer’s ass! [Laughs]
On Hodges Being 24’s Best Villain Ever: Defintely. I think that this corporate entity he represents will frighten people to the bone. To make that jump of disbelief is quite easy when you think of a private army gone mad. It’s gonna be fascinating. The viewers will be entranced by it and him.
On Working with Jon Voight: We went to the same college, so I knew I had an icebreaker. But we were in a production van and I’m telling this techie who’s got twin boys about raising twins, because I’m a twin. As I’m saying this, Jon Voight’s like, “Hold on! Hold on!” It never even occurred to me that Angelina Jolie just had twins, so of course he wants to know this stuff! I think he absorbed everything that I said. He’s very proud to be a grandpa. … He’s a real guy’s guy. He smashed an ankle [in one scene] — didn’t say anything, gets an ice pack and ices it himself. What a tough guy. You look at him walk and the way he talks — it’s that whole generation. Him and Clint Eastwood, they’ve got this gait. They’re all cowboys.
On Working with Kiefer: Kiefer is so intense, an incredible bundle of energy. He’s landing helicopters, running around and shooting people. … And in between takes, he’s playing chess! He sets up this chessboard and everyone’s got to be really quiet. If you’re a Kiefer fan, grab a chessboard and get him to sign it.
