How to Get 24 Seasons 1-6 for $30 - No Joke
June 29, 2008 by Diana
If someone told you you could get 24 seasons 1-6 for under $30, you’d think they were insane right? Well, that’s the offer Best Buy currently has, if you know what to look for.
All seasons are on sale for $16.99, that includes the recently released Season 1 Special Edition DVD set(pictured right). If you buy that set, you get a coupon for $15 off any other 24 set. But there’s fine print that can save you a fortune. That fine print says that the discount can apply to MULTIPLE 24 sets, totaling $75 dollars (which is the max if you bought season 2-6).
So do the math, you buy the first season for $16.99, then other seasons for $16.99 as well, with the $15 discount that makes any additional seasons $1.99.
Can’t imagine you’ll ever find a cheaper deal than this folks. If someone does capitalize on this deal, please let me know. Unfortunately the deal only applies to Best Buy’s in the US, and therefore as a Canadian, I can’t jump on it.
If you don’t believe me, check out the DVD talk boards with people who’ve gotten the deal.
Thanks to loyal reader CW for the tip.
What 24 Swag Do You Have?
June 20, 2008 by Diana
You’re not a true 24 fan unless you’ve got some 24 related merchandise. For me there’s my prized CTU T-shirt, 24 hat, soundtrack and a collection of books.
Of course I run a 24 blog, so occasionally swag ends up appearing in my mailbox, but what 24 merchandise have you spent your hard earned dollars on? More importantly, anyone out there have some odd 24 merchandise? I’m sure readers would love to hear about it.
Has anyone tried the new 24 energy drink, currently available in the UK? If you have, does it give you the urge to drive around screaming ‘THERE’S NO TIME?’ I’m headed to the UK in July and I intend to hunt down a few cans for a future contest.
24 in Your Pocket

Are your ever in the middle of a conversation with someone and think, ‘damn, this would be the perfect time for a Jack Bauer line?’ Well, Underground Toys has the solution for you. They make voice key chains with lines from your favorite shows, and they’ve added 24 to their roster. The 24 key chain will feature classic 24 catchphrases such as, “Right here, right now, you are going to face justice”, “Damnit!” and the sound of the clock ticking down.
There’s no release date yet for the keychain, but expect to see it sometime in 2008. In Canada, Underground Toys keychains can be bought at Urban Outfitters.
Jack Bauer
May 29, 2008 by Diana
What would you pay for your own Jack Bauer action figure? Not something mass produced by a toy company, but rather, a one of a kind Jack Bauer action figure? Does $89.99 sound reasonable to you? WFM Toys and Hobbies have created such a figure, only available on eBay. It’s hand crafted, features Jack in a t-shirt and jeans, making his best ‘don’t mess with me’ pose while holding his rifle.
So, is it worth it? If you think it is, head over to WFM’s eBay store.

CTU, the Energy Drink
February 19, 2008 by Diana
Have you ever said to yourself, ‘Damn, I need to drink whatever Jack Bauer drinks to keep going?’ Well, now you can. Cott Corporate, a non-alcoholic beverage maker, has produced a CTU 24 branded energy drink(pictured right). CTU 24 is available in non and non-diet and is described as a citrus flavoured stimulant.
Anyone else have a feeling that drinking too much will have the side effect of running around screaming, ‘There’s not enough time?’ That’s just what the dorm rooms of America need.
CTU 24 is available only at stores in the United Kingdom.
