Dennis Haysbert fans can finally breathe a sign of relief, he will be returning to tv in the fall. After months of being on the bubble, CBS officially announced today at their Upfront presentation this week that The Unit will be returning to their schedule.
The Unit follows the professional and personal lives of a group of military officers, headed by Jonas Blane (Dennis Haysbert), who specialize in counter terrorism and high risk missions. The show first premiered in 2006, and airs Tuesday at 9pm on CBS.
Details on Elisha Cuthbert’s New Show, Ny-Lon
It was announced last week that Elisha Cuthbert would be returning to television as the lead in a CBS pilot titled Ny-Lon. Cuthbert will play Edie Miller, a twenty something literacy teacher in New York City who also moonlights as a record store clerk to help pay the bills. Edie is described as “emotional, feisty, strongminded and loyal, someone who women totally identify with and men will follow anywhere.” The real story starts when Edie loses her bag on a trip to London, and is helped by a native Londoner named Michael. The casting breakdown claims that “what starts up as a guarded but flirty exchange ends up as a full-on New York-London relationship, two people not looking for love but falling into it nonetheless.”
It sounds like it has potential. However, if I have to see another Hollywood back lot substitute for London, I may scream. What do you guys think of the concept for Ny-Lon? Would you watch? Let me know in the comments.
