Wear Kim Raver’s Cherry Bliss

In the market for a new lip gloss? Why not hit up Sephora’s Cargo Collection, a line of glosses designed by celebrities. Kim Raver’s gloss is Cherry Bliss (sheer cherry) and it retails for $20.

Cargo lip glosses are made from newable materials such as corn (for the tube) and flowers (for the gloss). $2 of each purchase goes to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Other celebrities contributing lipglosses include Evangeline Lily (Lost), Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) and even drama queen Lindsay Lohan. The glosses are available only at Sephora.

Kim Raver Loves Shakespeare in the Park

Kim Raver braved the New York summer to attend Public Theatre’s gala of Hamlet in New York City to celebrate Shakespeare in the Park. Raver, who once played Viola in a college production of Twelfth Night told USA Today that the Shakespeare in the Park was”quintessential New York,” and that “we’re very lucky as New Yorkers to be able to have this.”

Kim Raver’s Not So Fashionable

You’d think if you’re going to attend the CDFA Fashion Awards you might want to look, you know, fashionable. Kim Raver took the opposite approach, glaming down, but trying to overcompensate by wearing a dress made of two dresses. I know, it sounds weird, and that’s pretty much how it looked too. What do you guys think?

Lipstick Jungle on DVD Today

There’s a discount, and then there’s a steal. A steal is what Amazon is selling Kim Raver’s Lipstick Jungle for, the bargain basement price of $19.99. Why do I suspect it’s gonna end up in the 2 for 1 bin at your local video store in a few years?

Kim Raver Wants You To Drink Safe

Or rather, she wants you to buy Volvic water, so a portion of the proceeds go to charity. Kim Raver has been named spokesperson for the Drink1Give10 campaign, a Unicef effort working to provide Ethiopia with efficient water systems, wells and latrines.

Raver says she joined the cause because, “For me, access to safe drinking water is not just a
right – it is a necessity and we should all support UNICEF’s mission to raise
awareness for the staggering number of children who are deprived of this basic
need and help save lives.”

As scary as it sounds, every day thousands of Ethiopian children die because they don’t have access to sanitized water.

Raver’s Still Working The Lipstick Jungle

Lipstick Jungle may be on hiatus until fall, but that doesn’t mean that Kim Raver has taken a break from promoting the show. Raver recently showed up to the Free Arts NYC Annual Arts and Photography Benefit with Jungle cast mate Lindsey Price.

Kim Raver’s One Hot Traveler

Kim Raver and husband Manu Boyer showed up at the Conde Nast Traveler 8th Annual Hot List party last week in New York City. Raver is currently on hiatus from Lipstick Jungle, which will have its second season next year on NBC.

Kim Raver Heads Out Of Jungle, Into Storytime

You know what’s nice? Celebrities reading books to children, books they did not author, and are not trying to sell. Kim Raver annoyed me a little less than usual today, as she read ‘Since We’re Friends: An Autism Picture Book’ to a group of children in NYC.

NBC Renews Lipstick Jungle

It looks like Kim Raver has broken her run of bad luck on TV. Against all odds, Lipstick Jungle was renewed yesterday by NBC Entertainment Chief Ben Silverman. Jungle will return to NBC in the fall, airing at 9/8c on Wednesday nights. The renewal was so surprising because Lipstick Jungle had a difficult time staying above 6 million viewers each week, even in NBC’s plum Thursday 10/9c time slot usually occupied by ER. We’ll just have to wait until September to see how the show does, and more importantly, if it gets any better.

Lipstick Jungle DVD out on May 27th

Lipstick Jungle’s freshman season may have been cut short by the writers’ strike, but that just means the Season 1 DVD box set will hit shelves even earlier. The first season set looks to be light on the special features, with only deleted scenes mentioned by NBC. I guess we’ll have to wait until may 27th to find out, won’t we?*

*By we, I mean someone other than me. Watching this show once was enough pain.
